The power of stone: solid, waterproof and yet 100% natural. ‘Malleable natural stone’ – that is how StucGranito is sometimes described. It feels genuinely hard to the touch, is solid and scratch-resistant. All whilst exuding a rare elegance and refinement.

For walls, ceilings, floors, worktops and stairs

Smooth, uniform finish or with subtle colour variations

As it is the pigments that give StucGranito its color, it is often available in natural, earthy colors and shades: from light sandy tones to deep, dark colors. An unlimited color palette is made possible by Stoopen & Meeus powdered pigments.

When applied very evenly and smoothly, StucGranito creates a perfectly uniform painted finish, whilst retaining a slight grainy texture that can be felt to the touch. The final appearance depends on the craftsman’s skill. As mineral finishes are applied by hand and depend on the substrate, technique and lighting, we always recommend having a sample produced in advance in order to properly assess the desired final result. The images provide a representative idea of the possible textures, but are for illustrative purposes only.

Equipment required

To apply the product, you will need StucGranito powder (available in 4 kg or 16 kg bags) and Stoopen & Meeus powder pigments of your choice. To complete the system, you will also need StucPrimer and a suitable topcoat (PU StucVarnish 2K, Uniwall 1KPU or Uniwall Wax). As for tools, you will need a mechanical mixer (mixing bowl), clean mixing water and a Venetian or Japanese trowel.

Composition

StucGranito is a high-end decorative mineral product in powder form, made from lime and cement. It is supplied as a white powder and is coloured on site using powdered mineral pigments, then mixed with water. Once set, it forms a hard, uniform finish, comparable to high-quality natural stone in terms of both decorative appearance and maintenance.

Protection

StucGranito must be applied to all surfaces likely to be exposed to moisture and/or stains. The choice of protective coating depends on the level of wear and tear the surface is subjected to: for heavily used surfaces (such as floors, shower walls and worktops), it is recommended to use PU StucVarnish (2KPU). For purely decorative applications, you can opt for Uniwall 1KPU varnish or Uniwall wax. Furthermore, Stuc Hard Wax Oil can also be used on floors and walls, provided they are not white or off-white in colour. Always carry out representative tests beforehand.
